Baby it’s cold outside! The weather in our area has turned the thermometers down and we are turning the thermostats up. It’s so cold that I’m tempted to wear my heavy coat. It’s cumbersome in the car, but dressing right is important to keep us humans well. I’d like to clothe myself with flip flops and have sand in my toes, but not this time of year! It looked like it had snowed here when I got up this morning, even up into the tops of the pine trees.
Oh beloved, do you know how to dress? No matter what socio economic group you and I are in we can dress our best. We have a Clothier who helps us decide and gives us great blessings when we accept His choices. His Name is I AM and His Word is clearly speaking to our hearts – we who are chosen of God. “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ”, “Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” We get to “put on the armor of Light”. We’re so blessed that we don’t have to live like the old person who had no spiritual influence. Again in His Word we hear “put on the new self”! When we’re weary and depressed we can “put on the garment of praise”. And oh beloved, there’s much more to clothe ourselves with in His Word.
God loves you and He’s for you! While you may not have the best wardrobe that money can buy for the natural, in the Spirit you have a wardrobe that is priceless! Rejoice that you aren’t left out in the cold with nothing to wear when the icy winds of adversity howl. You are clothed in His righteousness and full of His promises as you live in the Light of His Magnificent Word!

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
Psalm 140:7 O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.
Romans 4:7 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, And whose sins have been covered.
Colossians 3:14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
