This is my first full work week since being off for two weeks. The Christmas holiday was great. Most of the days were mild and sunny. I may not have accomplished all that my “to do list” had on it, but I did enjoy not having to rush every morning and doing housework, cooking and cleaning at my own pace. Once the holiday is over, it’s time to get back to the old grind. I’m very thankful that I enjoy my work and the people I work with. But it was still a process to get back to the daily office routine. The end of the week signifies time for home and personal things. The saying goes “I live for Fridays!”
Oh beloved, God wants you to know that He lived for Friday. He made the weekend special by waiting in the grave. When He rose to life again He set the pace for all days to be ignited with hope and life! Because He gave His sacrifice you can enjoy every day. In fact, it’s past time to rejoice in all your days – even the hard ones. When things are difficult you can rejoice that God is working behind the scenes to do miracles so that each day won’t stay the same fearful, sorrowful, unmanageable day. When things are wonderful you can rejoice that God is blessing you – give Him the glory for every good day. He worked all things out by His one sacrifice so that you and I could live an overcoming, rejoicing life! He knows your present troubles – He sees each one – and He wants you to know He gave His life so you could overcome each obstacle. As you look back to other weeks you can see how God saw you through, blessed your life, saved you from troubles, even those you caused yourself and set you securely on High with Him. Each day is a gift and that’s why you can thank Him daily for His Present of life, His Presence of Holy Spirit and His Preparation for heaven on your behalf. You are blessed, chosen, redeemed, restored, carried, held, loved and taken care of every day by the One Who holds the stars in place and the planets in orbit.
God loves you and He’s for you! What wondrous gift this gift of life. Hug your loved ones, forgive your enemies, bless your critics and rejoice in Jesus! Live fully alive all your days as you walk in the Light of His Mercy and Grace!
