I feel like singing “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”. With forecasts in the 60’s and 70’s it’s just not feeling like Christmas where we live. This time last year we’d already had a snow. While we don’t live in snow territory we usually do have chillier weather for this time of year. Building a fire in the fireplace is not going to happen this week. Instead we are watching for stormy weather tonight and again on Christmas. Like I said, it just doesn’t feel right weather wise for the holiday.
Oh beloved, how’s the weather where you live? God wants you to know that regardless of the climate in your office, your home or your situations you can celebrate. In fact, He wants you to know that the greatest celebrations of life are in the midst of those times when you don’t “feel like” celebrating at all. He knows what you’ve gone through and how you miss the old times. But He’s ready to give you new wine in a new wine skin. He’s ready to hand you fresh anointing right now in this season of your life. He’s calling out to you to lay aside your feelings and worship Him! You may not feel good, but you can praise Him right now! The heavy burdens of feelings you carry with you are weighing you down. Feelings of regret, remorse, bewilderment, concern, worry, fear, sorrow, disappointment and more. These are just feelings. Each one, when dealt with in the Light of God’s Word have no hold on you. It’s in the close fellowship with God that these burdens fall away. You aren’t the sum of the weather of your present condition, you are forgiven, protected, and find complete satisfaction in Christ! You are not destined to worry or fear the times or seasons because you are fully connected to Holy Spirit presence whatever state you are in. By faith you can see clearly that the present time is not your forever time. You are moving through this season and on to fantastic times with the Lord! Rejoice now even though you may not feel like it and watch as God miraculously changes your heart and mind and gives you a brand new perspective of His plans for your life.
God loves you and He’s for you! Go ahead and deck the halls of life with love, joy, peace, worship, praise and adoration! It’s never a bad time to celebrate Christ as you live for His Glory in the Light of His Truth about you!
Psalm 145:3 Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure His greatness.
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight—
Praise 33:1 Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright.
