It’s funny that the Five Minute Friday prompt is DWELL. I just talked about one of our old “dwellings” we lived in in today’s devo (https://rebekahbeene.wordpress.com

As I think of Dwell the first that comes to mind is “let the Word of Christ dwell richly in you”. The definition of dwelling is to live or stay as a permanent resident, to abide, or a place where a person lives.

Oh beloved, God wants you to know today that you can let God’s word dwell in you. You were made to have His Word live and stay as permanent residence. Your heart is where God wants to live and to carry out the Word in your life. This seems impossible unless you realize that you are made for this! You are made to be a carrier of His Word and a container of His Glory! This is no light thing – it is powerful!

God loves you and He’s for you! Let Him in and let Him live His Word out in your life! Your dwelling will be the most structured, strong, abiding place as you live in the Light of His Wonderful Word!

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

  1. We are rejuvenated and ready for what faces us in the day when we dwell in His Presence and take Him with us wherever we go. Thank you for this reminder! (your neighbor at FMF)
