What’s in God’s Storehouse?

If you were to ask me what all is in the downstairs storage room of my home I could tell you some of the stuff. But after all these years I’m not sure what all is down there. Everything there belongs to us. It’s all been bought and paid for. Some things we’ve collected across the years. Other things we inherited. If I really knew all the items I’d probably find some real jewels and maybe even things of great value, especially to antique buffs. There’s a lot of history down there for sure. There’s probably some stuff I could use right now. We will be bringing up the Christmas things soon, but those too will go back into storage as soon as the holidays are over.

God has a great storehouse of treasures just for you and me. We aren’t using half of what God has for us. Some of us don’t know what’s in the storehouse; others of us have decided not to use the gifts and treasures anymore. The body of Christ has gotten used to living without the storehouse and yet we cannot hope to be all we can be in Christ without His treasures of faith He has richly given us.

Oh beloved, God is calling you this morning to reach out into His great storehouse for all your needs! His “stuff” is not junk, they are real treasures. The Word of God is your guide to all that is accessible by faith for your every need. God already knew your needs before the foundation of the world. While you were being formed in your mother’s womb, God was providing especially for you. He knew you would have a hard time along the way, so He prepared ahead of time for each moment and situation. He’s not only provided for your past problems, He’s provided for this very day. As you wake up you may be facing pain, sorrow, fear, worry, unforgiveness, weakness, depression or rejection. Whatever you are facing, God has provided for you. His great storehouse includes prayer, praise, worship, faith, as well as love, joy, peace, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and strength of mind. He’s provided for your mistakes by giving you a covering with the blood of the Lamb. He’s provided for your lack by giving you richly all things to enjoy. He has already met your needs, delivered your soul, changed your heart and blessed your life beyond your wildest imagination! You are not the sum of what you don’t have – you are the testimony of what God has provided for you! It’s time to go to the storehouse of God’s wonderful provision and live out of that. Instead of living out of your own abilities, strengths and talents – live out of God’s provision! This is Kingdom living to show forth the praises and provision of God who has brought you out of darkness into the marvelous light of His wonderful storehouse!

God loves you and He’s for you! That’s why He’s provided for you. Not because you are good enough, smart enough, ready enough or pious enough. Rejoice this morning because your provision from God is given to you freely because you belong to the Lord! You can live in the Light of His Miraculous and Endless Provision of love!

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.

2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.

Matthew 7:11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
