First thought to my mind is the old hymn “Tell it To Jesus”. The hymn writer penned the words “are you weary, are you heavy hearted – tell it to Jesus alone”.
We know what it’s like to be weary don’t we? Not the bone tired work worn weary but the heart sick praying so long kind of weary. We worry ourselves into weariness. We work ourselves there too. We wonder if God can or will forgive us or if we can or will forgive others. Wearied minds begin to plague the heart and then that weary person just feels ragged with the fatigue of a wearied life.
Oh beloved, it’s time for you to regain your strength! Even with your present circumstances you can rest in the Father’s arms. You can rest in Christ’s unfailing redemption. You can rest in the power of the Holy Spirit. God calls you to rest in His promises until the battle is over. Weariness is not a gift of the Spirit nor is it a call from God. Strength is gained as you wait up on the Lord.
God loves you and He’s for you. That’s enough isn’t it to lift the weariness and bless the heart as you live in the Light of His Glory & Grace!
Jeremiah 31:25 “For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes.”
