As we watched our friend go through check in at the airport he had to check his bags as well. Turns out one of his bags was over the weight limit. He had to stop and adjust the weight. They didn’t adjust their weight rules for him. He did the adjusting. He praised God that he was able to lighten the load for the journey.
Oh beloved, you’ve been carrying a load and you’ve packed well. But God wants to lighten your load. He has plans for your travels that are far reaching and beyond your wildest imagination! But to use you in His plans He must ask you to adjust. There are heavy things you are carrying that you never meant to have to carry, burdens that are difficult for you as you bend from the load. He may even replace some things to give you freedom to move more freely. He’s seen all your tears but He wants to wipe away those tears and replace them with joy! He wants to give you a fresh infilling of His Spirit to replace the despair and fear that wants to hold you back. He wants to remove unforgiveness so that you can literally carry with you much, much mercy instead.
He says it’s time to drop what the enemy has told you about yourself and take on His truth about you for His truth never weighs down, it always lifts up. You are not the sum and weight of your heredity, ancestry or past. You are full of the destiny of a child of God! You are free to carry all the fruit of the Spirit! While these fruit carry great weight in the Kingdom they are never a burden to you. He wants to take out the mirror of the enemy as well. It’s heavy weighted with lies that the enemy knows will keep you from boarding the plane for new heights with the Lord. Instead He wants you to take on His truth – you are worthy, loveable, precious, beautiful, perfect, anointed, appointed, set apart, restored, redeemed, renewed and valiant, strong, capable and victorious!
God loves you and He’s for you! Where He’s taking you is wonderful and the ride will be full of excitement as you live in the shadow of His wonderful glory and grace!
