Five Minute Friday – DANCE!

you have turned my mourning into dancing

you have turned my mourning into dancing

I hear a song my children sang years ago “Dance Before the Lord Little Children”.

And then I hear God saying, you don’t have to just get through this present trouble. You don’t have to flinch and fall, holler and ball up. You don’t have to hope there’s something better someday or hide from life even now in these trying times.

Oh beloved, God is saying this morning get up and Dance! Dance into His loving arms. Dance in the Spirit for the joy of His presence. Dance over the problems because you are a spiritual athlete of tremendous grace, beauty and strength! You can do this hard thing because you have Holy Spirit training within you. You are destined to overcome and overcome and do it all with grace that is greater than this momentary light affliction. And while you are dancing you can know that even the dance, even the problems, even the hurts and anguish are producing something. Nothing is wasted. He promises eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison for this present time. He says if you keep looking at the trouble you may stumble, fall, hurt yourself spiritually. But if you keep your eyes on Him, the Author and Finisher of your faith – you will be full of wisdom, strength and power to do exploits for the Kingdom.

God loves you and He’s for you! That’s worth dancing about. He dances over you with Love and that’s worth singing about! Rejoice as you dance in the light of His glory and grace!

Psalm 149:3 Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.

Psalm 30:11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,

Daniel 11:32b …but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
