We’ve had a couple of investments we’ve worked with. Some did well, others not so well. Over the long haul it’s generally the ones that have been invested in the longest that produce the greatest return. We’ve also invested long years in ministry, friendships and of course our marriage. Of the one thing that’s brought us the greatest return for our investment it’s by far the marriage. Generally it is the investments you pay into and watch grow that gives the biggest rewards. So too the spiritual investments with God we give into over the years will return us the greatest rewards.
You may have invested much time and money into friendship, ministry and even financial endeavors to find that none of these things always pan out with the same rate you give. Even in marriage, there must be give and take, mutual investment over the years. You may be at a crossroads where someone went through your investment and squandered everything. You have found yourself empty, wounded and hurting inside and out and you’re not sure where to turn or what to do.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He is here for you. Right in the middle of your mess. Stepping into your test He is going to stay with you, provide for you and even heal you completely of the pain. It is a process, but this process includes an end to the sorrow, a new beginning and a season of refreshing straight from His heart. You may not be able to change a thing about the other end of your investment. But God wants you to know He sees your heart and He knows you have invested like the Samaritan – your time, your availability, your talent and your money. Rejoice, beloved, because a well spent life is a gift to God with the richest rewards ever! God wants you to quit worrying and fretting over other’s investments and realize that your investments are between you and Him alone. If you want to make yourself known in the Kingdom, invest wisely, abundantly and without regrets!
God loves you and He’s for you! Return that investment that He gave to you before the foundation of the world and love Him in return and stay with Him always. No matter how life works for you, you are worth it to the Lord and He is always worth it to you! God bless you as you live in the Light of His wonderful plans!
