This weekend daylight savings time will end for the year. We will lose light in the afternoon but the light will break earlier in the morning. We get to turn back the clock and the time will change.
Oh beloved, God hears your heart. You’d love to turn back the clock and have the times you are in change. You can do neither for your life, but God has a way of redeeming even the things you regret or wish you could do over again. He gives you a fresh start every day. He wants you to know that regret is a blinding emotion that will keep you hopeless and unable to move with confidence into the future. He wants you to believe Him for today and let Him remove your regret and replace it with newness of life. He wants you to stop lamenting the approaching darkness and give thanks to Him for the light of life!
Just as the clock turns back, He wants you to turn back to Him – by trusting His plan, believing His redemptive story, and accepting His mercy and grace. He isn’t holding things over your head reminding you that you’ve messed up or lost your chance. He isn’t mad at you. He isn’t sorry He saved you. No, beloved, as His most favored child you are in a place and position of great honor – forgiven, redeemed, saved from wrath, blessed, chosen, empowered, anointed and appointed. Now go forth, stop wishing you could go back and change things. Instead rejoice that you can go forward in faith, renewed in the Holy Spirit and thankful that your life is a blessing with brand new promise each and every day.
God loves you and He’s for you! No clock can stop you for your life is not bound by time. No daylight or loss of light can dim your life for you are filled with the Light of the World. Thank Him for all that He’s doing for you, with you and in you as you live in the Light of His unchanging love!
