Five Minute Friday – DOUBT

I capitalized the word DOUBT. Because we need to know what an important word that is. It’s mentioned in the Bible many times. We all deal with it. And we need to know where it comes from and how to root it out.

Just as my flower beds have stretch vines that keep popping up and dragging themselves like evil tendrils all over the place, just under the surface, so too DOUBT pops up and drags itself all over our world. As though it’s looking for a crack in our faith to take root in. But as we apply the Word of God it is uprooted. The hellish gardener, satan, cannot remain embedded in a soil that speaks the Word of God!

Oh beloved, you are the master gardener of your life. Learn what to use, how to use it and when. God says you can never apply too much of His Word. It sets the enemy to flight and his tactics dry up and blow away.

Some of you may be facing gargantuan weeds of doubt, but God is here to help you clean out the mind and heart and replant FAITH!

God loves you and He’s for you! Remove the doubt by applying the Word and rejoice as you reap a bountiful harvest of FAITH!

Ephesians 3:16-17 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.

James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.” At once the woman was made well.

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

  1. ❤ that you compared doubt to weeds.
    I think of that analogy as sin as weeds too when I garden and rip those suckers out of our garden/flower beds.
    Doubt is a form a sin eh…one that tries to darken our spirit versus letting the Holy Spirit one of faith, truth, and trust enter in! Glad to read your post! Jenn
