While visiting family we spent the better part of two days downtown. It was so much fun. The second day we returned because two more family members could go as well. That second day we spent walking everywhere. All day. It was great. Except that after we got in the car to head to the last shop and then home one of our family members got word that he was going to have to work from midnight to 8 am. Not so bad, except he had walked the streets of downtown Ft Worth all day! He was tired to be sure. And because his job is security he has to be alert and fully awake at all times.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He has walked with you each and every day. He continues to watch over you through the night. His mantel of protection is over you, His wings of care are covering you and His Ever Present Help is on guard for times of need. You may have walked through stuff that most people only hear about only to feel that things are worse in the night. God is here to tell you, no problem, no worries, no fear. He is the Great I AM. His nature is not astounded by the information you receive and His strength never fails. When you are worn out without and within, His power becomes fully available. When you are unable to be alert and on top of things, He is rousing His army of angels to guard and keep you. Never will God fail you. Never will God cease to care. Never will He say too tired, give up, or make your own way. Even in the circumstances you are in right this moment, God is working all things out for your good and His glory. He even wants to teach you more about Him and more about spiritual things so that you don’t just make it, but you abound in prayer, intercession, faith and stamina. Kings, princes and nations want power, but you are the King of the Universe’s child and you have all power from your Abba Father. And He is the LORD of your rest. No matter what you are facing, you will have rest in Him for whatever task of faith comes your way.
God loves you and He’s for you! This is more than a statement of warm fuzzies – it’s your battle cry! It’s your sound for alert, it’s your power in weakness, it’s your response to the enemy when He tries to convince you God has left you to walk alone or give up. Rejoice in the attendance of Jehovah Nissi, the Lord your banner as you walk in victory living in the Light of His Power and Presence all the days of your life!
