We traveled with friends this weekend and had a wonderful time in the Lord. As we were headed to visit a friend’s church yesterday morning they were using their navigation system. After church he called Onstar for directions to a restaurant and those directions were downloaded onto their gps. As we approached an intersection the gps said to turn right. We were all talking and our friend decided to turn left. We all chimed in “right!” He agreed that the gps “lady” had said right. “But sometimes I’m known to ignore the gps directions and it can get me in trouble”. All was well and we turned right and arrived at our lunch destination.
Oh beloved, God’s directions are perfect for you. He gives very detailed plans for your life in the Word and He will give you prophetic insight as well. His plans don’t include getting you lost or leaving you in the middle of nowhere. When you learn to listen to Him, He will keep you going in the right direction no matter what. We do sometimes ignore His still small voice though don’t we? And when we do God is so gracious and loving and caring that He stays near us to redirect our lives and will give us firm directions as we turn to Him for help. He never says too late, too bad, or too much trouble. He knows the wrong turns you made in the past and He forgave each and every one. He says to quit bringing up your mistakes and quit feeling like you have to ignore His sweet call to let Him lead. Never will He dishonor His Word or His plans. So all He asks is that you turn up the volume of His voice and turn down the noise of the world and follow Him with your whole heart. Your destination is so important that He directs your path!
God loves you and He is for you! Trust Him this morning and give Him the glory as you travel in the Light of His Glory and Grace!
