We got up early one morning this week and headed to our favorite night sky spot. We got out of the car and leaned on the back of it to get a good view of the stars. Sure enough just as promised, we saw “shooting stars” or the meteor shower. It was awesome. In the 10 minutes we were there we saw half a dozen. Not to mention all the constellations. We had to go early, but we were rewarded with a great show.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know that there is more than this for you. Even the magnificence of the early morning night sky cannot compare to the grandeur of His spiritual blessings. He knows what you’ve been through, He knows all your responsibilities and He knows you lead a busy life. These things have drained you at times. But His wondrous love will not drain you at all. Early morning or late at night, He is with you. His delight is to bless you as you press in close to Him. His plans include plenty of time with Him. Unlike the meteor shower that cannot be seen after dawn, His wondrous blessings are seen throughout the day. You can talk to Him any time. He showers His love and lavishes His care across your life as numerous as those very stars. Even when you cannot see His hand, He is with you.
The stars cannot perform; they just abide in the sky. So too, God doesn’t love you one bit more for your performance. He just wants you to abide. As you abide in Him your light will grow brighter and you will learn to walk out His plan as a magnificent display of His glory and grace. Don’t worry about the past. Don’t fear the future. Don’t dwell on man’s fears or concerns of imminent doom. You are safe in Christ, secure in Holy Spirit and full of joy and peace. God has you in the Palm of His hand and everything will turn out for your good and His glory as you look to Him for everything.
God loves you and He’s for you! Run to Him early, look for Him late, see Him in the middle of the day. Let Him be your all in all. His plans include abiding every single day, through storms and sun. He gives the ability to shine bright as the stars in the sky as you live in the Light of His magnificent Word.
Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
Malachi 4:2 But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.
Psalm 61:5 For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name.
Psalm 40:5 O LORD my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.
