Keep on the Road with Jesus

A young woman was recently walking at one of the scenic areas of the Buffalo River, when a truck came in her direction. She stepped off the pavement and into the fangs of a poisonous snake. It was bad, she was bitten multiple times. But she survived and is out of the hospital and will go on to a full wonderful life.

God speaks to my heart. She stepped off the road for her safety but it wasn’t safe at all.

You’re just one step away from God’s glorious plan for your life. But it doesn’t seem safe at all. It’s fearful at times. While satan wants you to step off the road and he wants to perform the crushing bite of his will over God’s, you aren’t going to step away from God. You are going to step into God. Don’t flinch over anything that comes at you. Stay on the road, smack in the middle of it. Those mirages will have to go round you or disappear altogether. God knows you’ve experienced hurts and anguish while looking to fulfill God’s will. Everyone hasn’t understood your calling. Everyone hasn’t been with you. Someone may have even tried to get you to quit and caused you much sorrow.

You also have had the urge to quit, give up, stop moving in God’s direction. You’ve thought that you probably heard God wrong. He didn’t really call you. You can’t do what He’s asking of you. You don’t have enough money or education or talent. You’re too young. You’re too old. Precious one, none of those things count with God. God calls the unqualified and qualifies them. God calls the unable and enables them. God calls the foolish and gives them His wisdom. God calls those who have no clue how they could even get up in the morning without God and He delights in their complete dependence on Him. All He asks is that you stay on course with Him. When trucks of trouble come don’t flinch. When hordes of people say no way, you say why not? Keep moving, keep trusting and keep seeking His face. This same God who saved you has healed you, redeemed you, forgiven you, called you, anointed you and appointed you for this day and time for His glory!

God loves you and He’s for you! He knows everything about you and He’s going to take all the mess and mistakes and less than’s in your life and turn it all into His calling and His plan for your life. Today is the day God is calling you to stand your ground with the enemy in the grass and step on into the call of God. Rejoice and walk out your calling as you live in the Light of God Glorious Will!

2 Corinthians 1:30-31 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.”

I Corinthians 1:26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.

John 15:16 You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

2 Timothy 1:19 He has saved us and called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time NIV

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
