Go Forth in God’s Power!

I was looking through artwork online trying to find a certain depiction that I needed for reference when I came upon a picture of the Red Sea when God divided the waters so the nation of Israel could walk through. What I noticed that was so unusual about the photo was the silhouette of a shark in the waters. This piqued my curiosity so I googled “sharks of the Red Sea”. To my amazement  I discovered that there are 44 species of sharks in those waters. I have always believed this story to be true, but I am not sure I realized just how treacherous and large the waters of the Red Sea are.  I read on about the sea and found that it is a seawater inlet of the Indian Ocean. Suddenly I have a much bigger picture of what God did! He didn’t part a pond, although He could. They weren’t crossing a brook, although they might have needed to. No this is vast ocean waters and it was teeming with dangerous sealife. And they were between God’s plan of escape and the enemy’s heated breath. They had to make a decision to step into what seemed very dangerous – they’d never seen God part a sea before! Waters full of sharks many stories higher than themselves. No light thing that their leader obeyed God’s instructions to touch those waters and believe God!

Oh beloved, are you at the point of decision? You’ve been hounded by the enemy and you’ve felt his breath on your neck. God has said go and you’ve been traveling into unknown territory. But now you’re at a point of no return. Either you’re going all in and risking it all or you’re going to have to settle for captivity just short of your redemption. God wants you to know this morning that He is indeed able! He’s not just able to call you, send you and bless you! He’s able to part the waters and hold it all back for you. He’s able to grant you access through to the other side of His will. He knows the troubles you have been encountering but He says your faith will see you through.

Trust Him today. His plans for you are outrageously wonderful! He calls every man, woman and child to faith and He’s calling you! Step into the way God has made for you and don’t look back!  Don’t worry if others don’t go with you for God has a road for each and every one. Don’t linger for fear of the unknown. You’ve heard the call and you know what God wants from you – complete obedience – walking where others might fear to go. So that you inherit all the blessings He has for you! You may have been driven out of your comfort zone by rejection, sorrow, or pain. But God is taking you through the waters, past the danger and beyond the touch of any enemy you may encounter. Rise up and go! Live the blessed life because you have the LORD of Heaven and Earth on your side! Wherever He sends you He has prepared the way before you, so you can live in safety all the way! You, beloved called out and redeemed are going out of captivity and into freedom!

God loves you and He’s for you! That’s your signal to go where He sends you! God calls people that the world might not call. He calls women to rise up into ministry. He calls men to take the authority He’s given them. He calls children even when they are young. Rejoice that you are called, the way is made, the sharks of life can’t get to you and dry ground that is solid and unmovable is your path.  Shout hallelujah as you walk in the light of His Glory and Grace!

Exodus 14:22 So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!

Exodus 23:20 Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

2 Chronicles 20:12 O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to YOU for help.

I Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
