First thing that comes to mind is the connect the dots coloring books I loved as a child. It was hard sometimes because the dots were numbered. If you couldn’t read or didn’t know your numbers you’d have a hard time connecting the dots. Once you got that figured out it was pretty smooth sailing. Even so, sometimes the lines would not be so straight. When we tried coloring them in we’d giggle at the line that ballooned out too far.

We often have problems connecting the dots in life. We try to make sense of things but still it’s a mess. We have to learn what God says about things. That way He can connect the dots for us. Things always turn out better and filling in the spaces becomes more beautiful as we learn to connect God to what we are doing – or better yet let Him connect the dots and thank Him when He helps us.

Oh beloved, life may be jumbled for you right now. Slow down and hand the pencil to the Lord. He’ll fill it in for you and give you blessings in the meantime. All your questions can be answered in His time and life will become more colorful as you learn to let Him take the lead.

God loves you and He’s for you. That alone should help you connect the dots for life and godliness always.

Romans 8:28 (NAS) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

    Visiting from Tuesday at Ten!

Lovely writeup on connection – I’ve been reminding myself constantly over the past week that God is for me, not against me, and he’s working all things together for my good. So great to see you close this post with that reminder!
