The Sacrifice Has Paid the Price

The lovely green dust of spring is now everywhere. I washed the pollen off my windshield in the morning and I found it was covered again at lunch. And as I got in my car to go home for the day it had returned yet again. Rain will wash it away and finally the pollen will quit falling from the trees, the grass, the flowers and all. It may cover everything right now, but sooner or later it’s through with its coverage.

Christ has covered our sins with His blood. Unlike the pollen that comes and goes with the seasons, God’s blood has remained. Whoever is covered with the Blood of forgiveness never has to worry about it washing out, going away or not completely covering all our sins. Every single one of them.

Are you crying at the cross? Do you fear rejection and humiliation? Are you uncertain that the blood that ran down on the ground will keep flowing for you? Maybe you’ve messed up the same mess over and over again. Maybe you have new messes that have appeared even though you’ve tried to be good, follow the rules and repent continually. Maybe someone pronounced lies over you – unforgiveable, unreachable, unlovable…the list may go on and on.

Whatever someone has said about you and whatever you have done, God says this: Before you were born I AM the one who destined your birth. While your unformed substance was still in the darkness of your mother’s womb I AM the one who knew your name. The very hairs on your head are numbered and so are your days. Your weakness is God’s delight for His Strength shows up at your weakest moment. Failure is not a death sentence. God won’t turn His back on you EVER. In fact every tear you cry is kept by Him.

Oh beloved, it’s time to get up from the cross and head on over to the tomb! It’s empty. Christ is Risen! He rose to new life and thus you have new life in Him. God has selected you and called you beautiful, chosen, redeemed, forgiven and destined. Don’t let the enemy keep lying to you. God says He is a lying liar. God’s Words to you are lovingly true.   Don’t worry about your past it’s covered by the Blood. Don’t worry about the present for you are walking in Redemption. Don’t worry about the future because Christ Himself has sealed your life in Him.  God has you covered through the atonement of Christ. Let the love of God, the perfect love, cover your life completely as you trust in His forgiveness alone.

God loves you and He’s for you. His promise over your life is nailed to the cross, sealed at the tomb and let loose on your behalf at the Resurrection! You are now a forgiven worshiper. Set your sights on Him and let everything else go. Your life, covered by the blood, now showcases the power of Christ to cleanse and redeem as you live in the covering of His mercy and grace.

Hebrews 9:12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us). AMP

Hebrews 9:14 Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered Himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

I Peter 1:18-19 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom He paid was not mere gold or silver.  It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

I John 1:7 But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
