The first thing that came to mind is my day off and it is so good! I feel almost like I’m wrapped in luxury! Even our weekends are busy and work week is always busy, so having a day to myself to do things around my house is truly GOOD.
But then I remembered that 4 years ago on Good Friday our precious granddaughter Lucy was stillborn. Our daughter was expecting twin girls and we were all so excited and imaging the fun and busy-ness of it all, especially since she had two boys, at the time ages 3 1/2 and 13 months!
Good Friday was a hard day. But our Stella, the other twin, stayed put for 3 days after Lucy was born. And on Easter Morning she was born, all 12 inches and 1 pound 13 ounces of her fighting and crying and seeking to live! And live she has. That resurrection day 4 years ago was GOOD! Although it was months before we could touch her and hold her, God had already told me “just picture yourself rocking her”. And I did.
Another promise we hold onto is that Lucy is with Him. And we will get to meet her one day, fully alive and walking in His Resurrection power as well!
Oh beloved, whatever you are holding onto in hope amid the despair, you can trust God. You can know that because of the silence of Friday, the noise of Sunday was imminent. He may have died on the cross, but He arose a Victor! And because He did we too can walk Victorious and it is ALL GOOD!
God loves you and He’s for you. Remember Sunday – that’s your key to new life as you live in the light of His glory and grace!
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
