The One Who Promised is Faithful!

Our precious friends in East Texas gave me the loveliest cross last time they were here. I’ve been looking for just the right chain to hold it so I could wear it. Such a unique piece it has a crackled appearance and even though it is plaster it is light as a feather. Finally I found the right chain and I took the cross out of the box. There was a paper with it and I read the process of making these crosses. Turns out the cross is quite fragile. I didn’t want to wear it because I was afraid it would crumble if I accidentally bumped it against something. But the look of brokenness just spoke to my heart. I’m so thankful for that representation of the cross that reminds me how fragile life really is.

You may be in a place of brokenness. You were sure that you were right where you needed to be. As fractures of disappointment, rejection, and discouragement came you thought surely life would hold together. But now you are alone and not sure where to turn. You’ve been living with the fact that life is fragile – things change in a moment and the fractured life seems to fall down all around you. What will you do? How will you live? Can you pick up all the pieces and try to make a life again?

Oh beloved this place of brokenness is just a stepping stone to being an overcomer. Impossible situations are right where God starts! He begins in your heart! As long as your eyes are on the storm you will have doubts about God and life. Turn your eyes on the cross and know that God is with you no matter what. Not only is He with you, but because He lives in resurrection power, despite the brokenness He received, you too can live in resurrection power! You are not going to stay fractured and broken – you are heading for victory and even more blessings! You may have believed in the Bible, but now you are going to believe the Word of God as your necessary healing, victory, wisdom, power and might! God is with you! Christ overcame hell on your behalf! Holy Spirit lives within you to grant you access to all of God’s precious promises!

God loves you and He’s for you! Stop lamenting the things that can’t be fixed and focus on the Cross, the Grave and the Empty Tomb! Those three steps are your stepping stone to greatness in the Kingdom! Great is your faith! Great is your warrior praise! It might look like Friday and the cross seems so fragile, but you don’t live there. You live in light of the Resurrection and all of Heaven is cheering you on as you go forth and live triumphantly as you hear God’s voice, follow His lead and walk in Holy Spirit power all the days of your life!

I Corinthians 4:20 For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

Romans 15:13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

Psalm 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand!

Hebrews 10:23 We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The One who made the promise is faithful.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
