MONDAY – PRAY AND VOTE and then PRAY FOR THE VOTE!

Did you know that voting changes things? Ask my husband. Many times when getting ready to prepare supper I ask him what he would like to eat. We discuss the choices. I might want to cook a pot of soup, but if he’s hungry for chicken I cook that. His vote for chicken changes everything.
Your vote counts. Voting in favor of Christ for salvation, giving Him your heart, changed everything in your life. You went instantly from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of Light. You got an instant heart transplant. You are now awaiting a new body in heaven! Talk about changes! I highly believe that my salvation and that of my husband’s was wrought in part because someone prayed for the tide to turn in our lives. Someone prayed. We voted. Life changed.

Israel is voting tomorrow to decide who will be leading their country. People all over the world are praying for God to move on hearts there. God moves on our hearts, through His Word, that we too should pray for them. Your prayers count. In heaven each word spoken in heartfelt prayer is counted and not one chad is left hanging. God knows your heart, He knows what is needed in the world today, and He is asking people of faith to pray. If we’re not people of prayer, then what do we expect God to do? We must learn to seek His face first for everything – from the votes in countries including ours as we pray for the leadership of countries. Prayer is a vote – for that which you are willing to pray for is what you think is right. We must always make sure we are praying God’s Word and will.

Oh beloved, have you voted for God’s Word? Do you trust in His salvation to keep you safe, no matter what happens in the world today? Are you moving on into a more mature faith, in spite of all the mess you may be dealing with? God voted for you to be accepted in the beloved! You can vote today to believe His Word no matter what! Your vote counts! As you learn to live loved, you will also realize all the benefits of that vote. Blessings, honor, glory, care, redemption, equipping, encouragement, reconciliation, restoration, strength and more! Voting to live for Jesus means a complete change of citizenship to that of the heavenly realm, under the authority of the King of the Universe. You may face problems and sorrows and hard times, but by placing your allegiance on the Lord, you are identifying yourself with His everlasting care and help. You are also indicating your willingness to follow Him and remain under His leadership no matter what.

God loves you and He’s for you. God delights in your prayers. Pray for Israel. Seek God’s face for your life. Live in the light of His glory and grace, for you are His and He is yours no matter how the world votes. But how blessed and secure you will know you are as you walk in His precepts and pray for His will in your own life and that of your world.

Proverbs 14:34 Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

Psalm 122:6 Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.

Matthew 6:9-10 “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’

1 Timothy 2:1-2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

I John 5:14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
