The snow we had was five or six inches of beauty. Unfortunately the roads were slick and dangerous. So we stayed home alone. We finally got out and had a great time in our yard, throwing snowballs and making a snowman. I posted a photo of my hubby and the snowman for all to see. One of our daughters commented on the picture with joy saying, “And this is why y’all will never get old!” She even shared it on her page. She said, “Proof that my parents are awesome! No kids at home and they still get out and have fun!” It blesses my heart that they think we’re awesome, but really we were just out enjoying God’s creation and one another.
Oh beloved! It doesn’t matter what age you are, people are looking to see where you are. Don’t give in to the lie that you are a hasbeen or that you are too old to enjoy life. Don’t let the enemy convince you to stay inside and miss living. God wants you to know this morning that you can do valiant deeds for the Kingdom even now! Your age has nothing to do with your heart and spirit. The more you let God pour into your heart the stronger your spirit will be. God has plans for you that are beyond your birthdate. It’s not about getting out in the snow, it’s about living life with gusto as long as you have breath! Even when things are hard and life gets rough, the inner person of faith can enjoy the Presence of God and His peace and joy are a shelter until the hardship passes by.
God loves you and He’s for you! Every day you wake up is another day in God’s marvelous grace plan for you! If you can’t walk out in the flesh, walk into God’s presence in the spirit. Pray, worship, sing and make merry in your heart. Someone is watching and who knows how you might affect their life for good! The enemy is defeated every single time you enjoy your life in Christ! Just as you build a snowman, you can build a life that is fully alive for Christ all the days of your life!
I Peter 1:8 and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory!
