Five Minute Friday- the Word is VISIT

As a child we would travel from Houston to Arkansas for visits with family several times a year. Not until we were on the gravel road to my aunt and uncle’s house did I feel we were truly in Arkansas. I called it “Uncle Bill’s Rock Road”. Memories of those precious visits still flood my mind and tug at my heart strings. The most relaxed days of my childhood were spent there. Lots of first happened as we visited. My first milking of a cow. (oh my what fun), gathering eggs, bathing in a washtub, walking up a flight on a fire tower, riding on the back of a hay bailer in the field and oh so much more!

God wants you to know this morning that He wants you to visit. Visit with Him first every day. Visit the Word and let it settle in your heart. Remember the precious memories of God every day. Visit His reality in your life! Visit the truth about yourself.

He wants you to know that He thinks you are wonderful! So visit with folks who increase your value! Visit with groups who know the love of God and His mercy and grace. Don’t waste time visiting with folks who are stingy with their love and stingy with God’s truth. There’s enough to visit and share and still have more! Minister to those who need a visit with God. Teach them to live loved!

Oh beloved, Holy Spirit is anxious to visit with you in your  heart and mind. God wants to increase your personal outlook and value for yourself as a child of God. Jesus went to the Cross so that you could visit with Him everyday, without having to leave His presence.

God loves you and He’s for you. No need to visit the sorrows and disappointments of past mistakes or unlovely people. No need to visit future fears that will only rob you of today’s joy. Rejoice in God’s wonderful unending love for you!  You are chosen, redeemed and restored to be a beacon of light to all who need a visit from God through you!

And thanks for visiting here today!

You visit the earth and saturate it with water; You greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; You provide them with grain when You have so prepared the earth. AMP
[Earnestly] remember me, O Lord, when You favor Your people! O visit me also when You deliver them, and grant me Your salvation! AMP
Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us] AMP

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
