Tuesday at Ten – ACCEPT

I didn’t have time to write extra this week. I had accepted that.

But then I was in a perplexed situation where I’ve been reading lots of quotes and hearing lots of conversations about “truth”. Then God spoke to my heart.  There are things we must accept and things we must never accept.  When we learn the difference we become empowered to live out the Truth.

We can accept the Bible. It is God breathed. It is insight for living. It became flesh and dwelled among us. It is our only hope for salvation, justification, sanctification and glorification. Others have good words that can make you feel better, but unless is it the Bible or points us to the Bible it’s just a bunch of words.

We can accept Christ as the only way to God. Without Christ we don’t have a chance to even breathe the same air. He is our reason for living.

We can accept one another. This is awesome! For Christ Himself is the Great Levelizer. At the foot of the cross we are all in the same boat, up the same creek, without a paddle in the entire crowd.  The pressure is off to perform, fit in or run the show. We are accepted individually and corporately. The only name us name droppers can name is “JESUS!”

In these last days we are going to have to learn that we cannot accept good feelings, good quotes or good buddies as our source of truth (or hope or meaning or worth). Times are changing but we must remain unchangeable just as God’s Word is unchangeable.

Oh beloved, your life is precious to God. Accept that!  You are valiant and unstoppable in God’s eyes! Accept that too!  You are meant to win, win, win as you live in the Light of God’s Word and drink from the fountain of His Truth! Your destiny is to live in God’s truth and overcome all obstacles all the way to heaven.

Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, “THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.” NAS

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to Him for protection.

I Thessalonians 2:13 Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God–which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe. NLT

Psalm 12:6 And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
