: to make (something) new, fresh, or strong again
: to make (a promise, vow, etc.) again
: to begin (something) again especially with more force or enthusiasm
This morning as I think of the word RENEW I feel the soft rain of childhood drenching my hair off the front porch. That same rain that falls softly as we lept through puddles and laughed! Now days, most of us would have to admit rain is a nuisance as we dash here and there ,carry stuff out and bring stuff in. It demotes our mindset – we think we have to STAY IN when it rains. But really, shouldn’t we continue dancing in the rain every chance we get?
What is God saying?
He is saying I want to RENEW everything in your life. I want to take you back to childlike faith. I want to make your life FRESH and STRONG again. I want to RENEW My promises into your heart so that you know My promise is always available. I want to start over with you – RENEW our enthusiasm for one another with more force (and excitement) than ever before.
Oh beloved, hear Him? He’s ready to dance in the rain with you. He’s ready to leap through the sun rays with you. He’s calling you OUT in childlike faith to Have FUN in your Christian walk. RENEW the commitment to see things through His eyes and rest in His promises and ENJOY life with Him!
He loves you and He’s for you – that’s worth letting Him renew everything for you, with you and through you all the days of your life!
Have a RENEWED Day!
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renewa steadfast spirit within me.
Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored; Renew our days as of old
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
