Natural Becomes Supernatural Living

Names-of-God

Have you ever tried to describe something to someone who’d never seen it? The grandkids were talking about how they had learned that milk doesn’t come from a carton, it comes from cows! They were astonished that people didn’t know this. Of course until their own revelation they didn’t know either. Caleb said that the milk came from the cow’s belly. Even though they now know it comes from the cow, they’re still not sure how that happens.

I saw a graphic describing God’s attributes.  It listed powerful, mighty, compassionate, forgiving, purifying, loving, training, empowering and more. We hear this about God but how can we experience all the qualities God has? How do we know Him in these capacities? We know it must be true, for each one is talked about in the Word. But how does this happen? How can we experience God in the completeness of all He is? We may be able to list the qualities and capacities of God.  But somehow we must understand who God is and how He operates on our behalf.

God is Spirit. Every single word describing God is a human word. Yet everything God is – His attributes, His qualities, His essence and His abilities – are supernatural. Describe God with a human word, but He operates that word in supernatural ways. Our human words limit our thinking. For instance “I love you”. That’s humanly subject to feelings, actions and can change with other human feelings. God does not change for any reason. His love is enduring, faithful, steadfast and beyond us.

Oh beloved, run this morning to your Supernatural Lord and Savior. God knows where you are and what you need. He is beyond your present situation and He provides for you even in your natural lack – He is supernaturally providing.  All that you can see through dimly lit eyes of enlightenment is just a shadow of the strength of His Name. But as you learn to live in the power of the Holy Spirit and the Light of His everlasting love, you begin to experience all that He is for you – He is all that you will ever need for anything and everything – then you will begin to call upon His name and know that He will be here for you always. Whatever you are lacking this morning, beloved, God has already provided for that in His Name.  He says I AM that I AM. What more is needed than to know that you can call upon the Name of the LORD and be saved, sealed, delivered, protected, guided, forgiven, sanctified and one day glorified, living in heaven with Him forever!

God loves you and He is for you. The Spirit of God is the revealer of all to your spirit. But He allows you to live it out in the flesh, so that He can display all that He is through your life! Rejoice in all that He is, get to know Him better, fall in love with Him more and rest in all that He is for you, with you and in you. Then you can take Him beyond the carton (the Bible) and pour out all His is for your daily sustenance.  Ordinary will become extraordinary and natural will become supernatural as you live in the Light of His Truth.

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Amplified

Psalm 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Ephesians 3:19 (14-21) [That you may really come] to know the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
