Saturday – More Precious Than Diamonds Set in Gold

I love my diamond ring. It’s the same ring Danny gave me when we got engaged. Although new rings are beautiful and I love many of the new designs, I just want to wear this original set. Some of the filigree on the gold is getting worn and we’ve had to replace the setting due to wear. It just doesn’t matter to me. This ring represents decades of loyalty, fidelity and victory. No worse for the wear. The diamond is as clear and shiny as ever, maybe even a little shinier in my eyes.

Our lives are precious to God. Just as the diamond in a setting is the showcase for the ring, we too are showcases for God’s glory. Worn spots, broken areas, dulled settings don’t matter. They don’t wear down our value, they increase it. We see dents and oldness. God sees repairs and newness. We are of incredible value to our Father. He lovingly created us before the foundation of the world to be His bride. He has presented us with everything we need for life and godliness.

Oh beloved, God understands. You counted on the ring of faithfulness from others. You thought if you prayed God would change things. You thought your own faithfulness would cause others to stay in the walk of faith with you. It’s okay. God says to count it all joy. He says to give everything to Him. He says keep your eyes on the truth of who you are in Christ. You’re perfected in Him. You are worthy of fidelity, loyalty and victory. But those don’t come because of your merit or the merit others place on you. They come because the Agape Love of God has ordained it for you. You’ll have to drop the things that make you weary and regretful. Keep praying for God’s will in faith for all the answers. Love those people God brings into your life. You can’t lose what is eternal. Isn’t that a blessing? Things come and things go, rings get damaged, lost, must be replaced, and might get less valuable. But you are not like that – you are pristine, faultless, held dearly, equipped to fit the life of faith – for the Lord. He considers you of incredible value – worth His very life. He will stay with you, redeem your life, walk alongside you and keep true to you forever.

God loves you and He’s for you! That’s your God! Focus on His Word and shine like the diamond of faith you really are. God has plans for you that will never let you be lost, broken or replaced in His heart ever. Rejoice and keep seeking His face and falling in love with Him for the rest of your life. One day He will come for you, His bride, and take you home to live with Him always!

1 Corinthians 6:20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I Peter 1:18-19 You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, but [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

Psalm 139:17 How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Amplified

I Chronicles 16:30 O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
