The Lord’s Compassion Never Fails

Kids played everywhere around our house this past week. They rode bicycles, jumped in leaves and played hide and seek. Not much crying and thankfully no big injuries. Caleb did come in once crying. He was holding his hands out and said “I fell!” His dad said that he wasn’t even hurt. Sure enough I looked and there was not a mark on those little hands. Yet he was crying and holding them out for me. “It hurts!” I kissed both palms and said, “Lord Jesus, help these hands not to hurt.” Caleb was fine. He just needed a little help to get over the fall. There might not have been a mark or a scratch on them but the hurt was there anyway. He ran back out to play.

We all get injured in life. Whether we’re playing or working, injuries come our way. It may not be a physical injury but an unkind word, a rejection, a misunderstanding and we find ourselves crying and in pain. Where do we go for healing? What do we do about the pain? We try to get friends to help but they see that there’s no outside injury. All we want is a kind word and a little compassion. Finally, we take our tears and pain to the Lord. He looks at the situation completely. He touches us with His healing love and we feel relief. With His touch we are able to go back– enjoying life again.

Oh beloved, are you nursing an injury from long ago? Is the pain still there even though the marks are long gone? It hurt and you nursed it and now it seems permanent. Crippled by the words of another or the misunderstanding of a situation, your pain is real. No one can see it on the outside, but hurts of the heart have caused you to hold back, remove fellowship, keep silent and stay away. The enemy of your soul wants you to stay crippled, discouraged and out of fellowship with those you love and love you in return. He will do all he can to convince you that your pain is permanent. God wants you to know this day that He is the Healer of all hurts! He will take your pain and remove it completely. He will touch your heart and heal that too. He knows how to remove every injury you’ve ever had so that you will walk free and straight. His desire is that you can enjoy life and have sweet fellowship with loved ones and friends again. Don’t spend another moment nursing the hurts. Forgive those who have injured you, release God’s compassionate touch to yourself and to them. Find restoration for your life and live confident in God’s promises for your life. As you hold your hurts and pain out to God, He will have compassion on you. His touch is beyond feeling sorry for you and He doesn’t want to keep you in pain over anything. Even so, His compassion never fails. Others may not understand but He always does.

God loves you and He’s for you. One touch from Him changes everything. Let Him heal you and then run back out into life and love others with all your heart. He will also heal relationships, restore fellowships and give you a new attitude about everything as you live in the Light of His Word.

Psalm 40:11 You, O Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me.

Psalm 103:4 Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion.

Acts 10:38 You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
