How’s Your Security This Season?

Danny’s cousin and her husband work for a security company. Through the end of December she and her sister will be patrolling a neighborhood. They’re hired to just watch. This neighborhood has been robbed over and over each Christmas season. Boxes disappear from their doorstep after they are delivered and the mailboxes are checked for anything valuable. Of course Christmas is a time when thieves work harder than ever. This neighborhood is tired of being robbed so they’ve hired this company to make sure it doesn’t happen again.  She won’t have to make arrests or confront anyone. She’ll just patrol – everything else is in the hands of the police and the company.

Maybe you’ve been robbed. Have you been taken from over and over? Are you under the gun, hoping that your inheritance in Christ is secure? Are you wishing that heaven is yours but you don’t really know if it will be there when you need it? Life has been hard and you’ve worked harder to have things, but those things are fleeting. You try to have peace, love, joy and yet they get stolen right out from under your nose – especially at this season.

The LORD Himself is the watcher over all that you have. He has given to you such rich and wonderful gifts. Yet the enemy wants to come in and steal it all from you. He’ll say you’re not worthy, the gifts aren’t for you, you can’t expect God to help you with that. The enemy, the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy, wants to ransack the neighborhood of your life. He will taunt you, deceive you, make you believe that you are a less than citizen. He will watch you enjoy your place at the table of Christ’s grace and then take it from you by convincing you it’s all a lie. No ordinary thief, he doesn’t just steal he will convince you if he can that you don’t deserve what God has gifted you with. Whether it’s grace, peace, joy or gifts of the Spirit, position as a child of God or more.  You keep getting robbed and you’re feeling tired, worn out and unable to go on.

Oh beloved, it’s time to call in your Security. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is with you! He is carrying His truth to disarm principalities and powers that seek to take all you have in Christ from you. But when you call on the LORD He is ever present and is always seeking to keep you safe in your calling.  He shares His book of security issues with you and holds nothing back. Charge forth and patrol your life with the Word of God. Speak it in the loudspeaker of your heart. Talk the Truth to the thief and he will flee. Speak Words of life over yourself and you will find a bounty at the doorstep of your heart, gifts kept safe in the LORD.

God loves you and He’s for you and that’s the best security you’ll ever have. Filter every situation through those Words and see – God does not want you poverty stricken by the enemy. God wants you to enjoy the fullness of God every single day. He’s with you, He’s in you, He’s behind you and before you. Let this holiday be a year of jubilee as you live free of thieving, lying, killing taunts of the enemy and live a strong, invincible, powerful life for the Kingdom of God!

John 14:27 I am leaving you with a gift–peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Philippians 4:7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 121:8 The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.

Psalm 125:2  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people both now and forevermore.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
