The Rolling Stones Didn’t Have a Clue!

Yesterday morning an old song from my teen years came to mind: “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”.

Then God spoke to my heart. Satan walks in front of God pointing at you and me saying, “I can’t get satisfaction!” He demands satisfaction for our sins, our mis-directions, our disobedience, our weaknesses and all. God is on His throne listening. Jesus comes and stands between God and satan and says, “I AM the satisfaction for them (you and me)”. Jesus stands between us and the enemy of our very souls who wants to condemn us and kill us and says to us (ignoring satan altogether) “I AM satisfied with you because of MY shed Blood, because of MY resurrection Life and because you have accepted MY sacrifice on your behalf”. God says SATISFIED – PAID IN FULL. NO DEBT OWED. NO CONDEMNATION.

Then God showed me another scene. We are there, you and I, beloved. We cry out, “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction!” We become dissatisfied with life, with people, church, ministry, with jobs and finances, loved ones and circumstances. We want to be satisfied – we want to be pleased, fulfilled, gratified. Jesus comes to our heart and says I AM your only place of satisfaction. You will be satisfied when you find it in Me alone. Nothing else will do. Where else can you go? I AM the One you were made to know. I AM your all in all. If you will trust Me with your heart and mind, I will be the Greatest Satisfaction you’ve ever experienced and I will make all things new for you.

Oh beloved, there is a daily scene playing out in the hearts and minds of men and women across this land. Won’t you trust the LORD today? Won’t you let His scene play out for your good and His glory? It’s a heavenly realm scenario that is truly going on. As Christ intercedes for you at the THRONE of GOD, your life is being treasured in every way. God is not mistreating you or disappointing you ever. No matter the circumstances, Christ is with you entreating you in love to sing aloud His praises, for He satisfies your longings and nothing else will do! Don’t focus on your mistakes and don’t focus on your disappointments. Focus instead on God’s Word and His promises.

God loves you and He’s for you. That statement alone should satisfy every longing of your heart. Give Him your day while there’s time. Before the mundane gets in the way, before satan tries to parade your fleshly dissatisfaction in front of you, before the temptations, worries, burdens and hurts take over. He will bless you, watch over you, guide you and keep you all the days of your life. Truly nothing else will do. Truly the more you find your satisfaction in Him the more blessed your life will be.

Romans 3:24-25 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past.

Psalm 103:5 Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

Psalm 145:16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
