Tuesday at Ten – The Word is Seek

Wow, this morning as I say the word Seek I am amazed.

“Jesus came to seek and save the lost” Luke 19:10

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” Matthew 6:33

The activity of Jesus was momentous. He CAME. He SAW. He CONQUERED.

He was the Sent One, who was sent to SEEK everyone who needed Him.

Think about it. We were lost. That means we could not find our way. We did not leave crumbs behind like Hansel and Gretel. We didn’t mark our route with broken limbs or pebbles. We just wandered, trying to find a good way.

Then Christ came on the scene of our “lostness”. He already knew the way. He knew where we were and only He know how to find us. But He did more than SEEK us. He SAVED us. He CHANGED us.  He gave us a MAP to live by as well!

So that we can seek His Kingdom first. That will help us find our way in this lost and dying world. So that when we need to SEEK His will, His advice, His plan, His roadmap for our lives, we can find these things!

Oh precious one, don’t worry about your past mistakes and missteps. You’re not lost as long as Jesus is yours and you are HIS!  He is even now making a way for your life to be readjusted to get you back on the road with Him. He is Seeking you. Now Seek His Face and rejoice!

Luke 19:10  For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

Ezekial 34:12  As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

Thank you so much for sharing your heart and the verses about seeking God. I also thought of Matthew 6:33 when I read that the prompt word was seek. I love the reminder to seek his face and rejoice. I hope you have a lovely day! I am stopping by from Tuesdays at 10.
