I was looking at a picture showing angels at guard around a young man. It made me think of the power of prayer. Have you ever looked at the prayers of a mother? She prays the Word over her children as she hopes fervently that they will live for Him. She’s not asking for them to be rich or famous, popular or fashionable. Oh no, a godly mother knows that her children will have everything if they are following the Lord and living in the light of His Word. Everything else will just fall into place, because God says so. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God…”
Oh beloved, not one of your prayers has been missed by the King of the Universe. He is the ultimate prayer warrior, who traveled into Hell and took away sin’s power over us. And one day, for those who have put their trust in Christ, He will remove sin’s presence from us forever! In the meantime, don’t look at what you see with your natural eye. Look instead into the heavenlies and rejoice over the truth that God answers your prayers, meets your needs and promises to bless your descendants. You may have no physical influence over your children but you always have spiritual influence. Don’t regret a thing that might have been done wrong or missed in the past, for God is the Redeemer as well. He takes what you know to do and what you didn’t know to do along with what you did wrong and wish you could do differently and turns it out for His good. The Master Planner and Finisher of our faith is doing the same for your families.
God loves you and He’s for you. Pray. Pray the Word. Pray often. Pray aloud. Whisper a prayer. Seek His face. Have wonderful fellowship with the One Who knows you intimately and loves you best. He loves your family as well. Ask Him HOW to pray for each one. Ask Him to set you free from fear and worry over them. Let Him take the time He needs to make all His will come to pass in every single life. He is your answer to everything including those things you pray for your family.
