Tell It to Jesus!

biblestetho

We had a great day yesterday. When I came home, we had a good little visit with one of our daughters and three grandchildren. Then we got a call to go to the hospital to visit with a friend. While we waited there to see what would happen, we met a lady who came to the ER. She began to talk about her life and really shared more than strangers usually share. While we were in the waiting room our friend shared about his faith and invited her to church. When we came back in, she began to talk to me about her life and I prayed with her. She later told our friend she was glad she came to the ER even if they didn’t give her to help she still got her spirits lifted for the first time in 30 years.

People are hurting everywhere. You have hurts as well. You are wondering if there is anyone who will listen to the complaints of your heart. You’ve looked and you’ve talked but no one seems to care. You’re burdened for yourself and your loved ones. You are in the ER of faith, running out of time. What happens if nobody listens? What if they fail to see your diagnosis? Will you languish forever? Is this all there is to life? Pain, discouragement, depression, anxiety and fear are all pressing down on your heart and mind. You’ve tried to get help, but you seem to always find criticism and put downs. People tell you to get yourself up and help yourself out, but you’re oh so tired and oh so sick. You’ve been left with your own mess and even the emergency itself is giving you agony.

Oh beloved, tell it to Jesus. He is always listening. He’s interested in you. He’s always merciful. He won’t gripe you out, give you a hard time or reject you EVER. He won’t get tired of helping you, tired of speaking truth into your life or reaching down and picking you up. Religion may have come into your room but it cannot help. Rules may have tried to speak to you but they can’t heal you. Keep asking God for help. You may not realize it, but God is working behind the scenes. While you are languishing in the sickbed of prayer God is the Great Physician who is anointing your life with His help and His touch. He is sending you people who will pray over you, pray with you and give you hope. He will send the right help at just the right time. While you are waiting let Him speak His own words over your life. Let Him remind you what His Word says: “I will send My angels charge over you.” Others may have come for a season but left you still languishing. God says “Lo, I AM with you always.” Remember, your “help comes from the LORD”.

God loves you and He’s for you. I am praying today that God will help you, set you free of the things that want to choke your very life and that He will set you on high as a magnificent testimony of His love. I am praying too, that He will send you help in human form, godly spiritual guidance , someone who is sent from God who knows the power of Christ to set you free and pick you up out of the pit. Your life means so much to God. Never forget that He is always working for your good and His glory. Don’t give up. Just pray up and wait and see – God will help you and give you all that you need according to His riches in Christ Jesus. Trust Him as He does for you what only He can do.

Psalm 121:1-3 I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.

Psalm 124:8 Our help is from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 20:1 In times of trouble, may the LORD answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.

Hebrews 4:16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
