What’s That in Your Inbox?

When I opened my inbox at work I sorted through the “junk mail” first. I found an interesting email that said I was the recipient of a $5000 money gram. Who couldn’t use an extra $5K? Of course I already knew it was fake. I’ve been taught how to recognize error and how to deal with it. I’m amazed at how many scam artists there are out there. The work involved and the hope for someone to fall for their lies seems hardly worth it. Yet people do fall for one of those messages every day. Among the other emails were a few that said my inbox was full and please send my password. Between wanting my passwords and my bank account numbers it’s a jungle of thievery out there. One moment of believing the lies sent to us and we’d find ourselves in a mess to say the least. Sometimes clicking yes on an email opens the door to trouble throughout the network we are in.

Oh beloved, there is a scam artist extraordinaire. It’s time that you be very careful not to fall for something ruinous. There may be desperate times you are in, financially spiritually or emotionally. The enemy who sends the lies knows that. But the one who loves you keeps you safe if you watch according to His Word. He wants you to think he will give you everything you ever asked for and give it to you for free. While he might deliver the goods, they will at least be tainted and they will always cost you more than you can ever afford. You will end up paying forever for one mistaken response. He wants you to give up your password as well, CROSS, and live with the lies he tries to put on you. Don’t listen, trash it quickly. Run to God’s Word and find the true messages you should be getting and the true riches you receive every day just by being a committed follower of Jesus Christ. The Lord is able to teach you His Word so you can recognize the errors and deal with them quickly. Once you know the Truth you will be set free from any deception that might come your way. If it doesn’t line up with God’s Word it’s not a message from God.

God loves you and He’s for you. God’s message will always be full of this Agape love and Everlasting care. Delete the lies and keep the Truth and live in the Light of His glory and grace always!

Psalm 119:133 Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

Psalm 119:9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your word. NIV

Psalm 19:7-9 The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.

Psalm 117:2 For he loves us with unfailing love; the LORD’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the LORD!

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
