The Hopeless Situation is Not

Last night as I was reading a friend’s post on social media I noticed a familiar name in a page he had shared. I clicked the link and sure enough it was the daughter of an old friend. She has started a prayer page for her son. He has been captured by the drug scene and satan is attempting to take his very life through meth.  My heart went out to her. She set up that page to get everyone who believes in the power of prayer to pray! She was willing, because of her great love for her son, to go anywhere and ask anyone to pray. He isn’t her only son and she has several grandchildren now. Although her home is full of family, that one son, living a wayward life of death, is still so very important to her. He was raised in a godly home just as the rest of their now grown children were. The enemy worked his ugly magic on him and now Tim is trapped. Without deliverance there is no hope. Please pray for Tim Cannon today as you think of him.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. You may be in a desperate situation yourself. One of your loved ones may be living beneath the poverty level and off the grid. The richest of Christ have been snuffed out for the meagerly earnings the enemy provides. Whatever you are battling, whether it’s for you personally or one you love, prayer is the answer. Prayer is the answer because you are having a conversation with the Only One Who can deliver the situation from the dark.  Your problems may seem insurmountable. But when you petition heaven for answers, for relief, for deliverance or for insight for living, you will get God’s answer.

Oh beloved, it is not hopeless and neither are you. The situation may be desperate but you are not living in desperation. You are a child of God. Your children and your generations are blessed, even those who are not living for Christ – they are blessed because you pray for them. How many of us can say we are here today because someone prayed?  God’s Word says that He is able to save to the uttermost – and He means it. No matter how dark or dreary, how captured or wounded, how deceived or deadly – God answers prayer.  Always remember the God of Hope is with you. The answer is to bathe yourself in God’s Word and bathe your wayward loved one in that same Word. If you’re having financial problems, or you just can’t seem to shake the depression, dip into the prayer closet and shower yourself with God’s Word. You are more than able to allow God’s grace abound to  you. Hold on beloved, for surely help is coming and it is coming from the Lord.

God loves you and He’s for you. He’s given you His Word to live by, His saints to agree in prayer with and His Holy Spirit to deliver the answer for you. Let Him shine His truth in your darkest hour and bring the Light for you to see your blessed future. Never quit praying, never give up and know that even when you don’t see the answers, God is bringing them to you. Live in the Light of His Word and rejoice in the Lord who hears every prayer all the days of your life.

Matthew 18:11-13 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.

Psalm 17:6 I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray.

Romans 15:13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Chronicles 20:9 Should evil come upon us, the sword, or judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You (for Your name is in this house) and cry to You in our distress, and You will hear and deliver us.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
