She called to say how much she enjoyed the fellowship group we had. But there was more. She was concerned. She felt she had interrupted me when I was sharing what God had put on my heart. She said she had kept interrupting and she hadn’t realized that I was actually sharing. She had thought we were just talking. I was amazed. Because I had thought I was cutting her off. And because we obsess about stuff I thought “fail”. You know, the word that comes up often in the inner recesses of our hearts. We both laughed, mostly at the enemy of our soul, who wanted us to think we were messing up, so that we’d regret the meeting and retreat from the opportunity to meet again. Once she had brought the lie of the enemy to light, I too could share the lie the enemy had given me. We both were delivered from the lies and given more reason to rejoice together!
What if we’d let those little offenses fester? What if we’d not brought them to light? What if she hadn’t the courage to share her feelings, which caused me to share my fears too? The light is so glorious! It removes the doubts and reveals the lies. While it does show the imperfections, it also illuminates the spirit so that the inner glow of God can shine forth!
Oh beloved, you are battling the darkness every day. But you don’t battle it on your own! You have the Light of the World, Christ Jesus, as your Lord and Savior to illuminate this present darkness. You have the light of the Word, God’s Truth, to shine the way in this world. You can battle the spirit of error but only with the Truth. God knows your every imperfection, yet His light illuminates His own Spirit within you so that you radiate Him! There’s no way to battle the darkness unless you know the Word and live in the Light of it! Run to His precious precepts this morning and drink them in as your morning refreshment. Give Him the mistakes you feel you’ve made and let Him cover them with His mercy and grace. Tell the Truth in love whenever you need to. Don’t let your insecurities keep you from moving on with God! He’s calling you into His presence so that He can call you to be His light in the dark! Don’t let the enemy plug you into his untruths – he whispers “fail”, “mistake”, “unloved”, “regret” “misunderstanding” and more. God speaks healing, mercy, beloved, applause and redemption! Go with what God says and speak His truth to your friends and the enemy of your soul. Friends will be relieved and the enemy will retreat!
God loves you and He’s for you. Take that truth and march triumphantly into God’s will and plan for your life. He gave you a voice to speak His truth to a world that walks in darkness. You have His Great Light to live by and to share everywhere you go for the rest of your life, all the way to heaven!
