Blessed Life No Matter What

People often ask if the devotional book is available for the kindle or nook.  I have finally decided to carve out some time to make that happen. Every tip and help venue uses words like simple, easy, one step. But I have already found that the process is neither simple, easy nor one step! It’s a little frustrating to decide between spending hundreds of dollars to have it done for you or doing what everyone says is possible and that’s doing it myself. So far every dyi attempt has proven not so simple at all. I have not given up though. I just have to trudge through as I move through all the information out there.

It reminds me that life in Christ is entered into quite simply. We receive Christ as our Lord and Savior with all the benefits of life as a child of the King. We are forgiven, we are adopted, we are set right – made perfect in His eyes. The Gospel is so simple a child can accept Christ.

Although being placed in the family of God is simple, there are certainly complicated times that come for the child of God. Christ Himself tells us that we will have tribulation. Who likes that word?  He tells us we will go through ordeals, experience pain, feel distress and face misfortune and trials. We will suffer for the Gospel and suffer on account of our new family affiliation. The simple acceptance of Christ as our Savior heads us on the road to much that is neither simple nor easy.  But we’re so blessed that while we must go down roads we might not have chosen for ourselves, we also can face each obstacle designed to throw us off track forever. We can face them with fearless ability. We can move on past the hardships knowing that there is One who has given us access to all the divine rights of an heir. Everything Jesus faced we too will face. Bad news. Everything Jesus overcame we will overcome. Good news.

Oh beloved, God wants you to know that you are more than your obstacles. He hand-picked you and delivered you to the Kingdom of God because He loves you. His plans for you are excellent – even if the bank account is low or your spirit feels low. Even if the lawn mower is broken or your heart is broken. Even if the kids don’t call, the job doesn’t pan out, the friends walk out. Even if your spouse has spoken unkind words to you. You are spoken for by God, you are spoken over by the Holy Spirit and you are destined for greatness in the Kingdom right here and right now.

God loves you – don’t ever forget that. Don’t ever believe another lie that you aren’t worthy of His love. God is for you – don’t ever rely on another person’s view of your destiny. With God on your side you have nothing to fear. He will always be with you to pick you up when you fall, to soothe your wounds when you are hurt and to keep you by His side forever. Your simple life with rough times will be a blessed life as long as you live in the light of His Word.

Romans 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

Isaiah 41:10  Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.

Psalm 31:7-8 I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles,  and You care about the anguish of my soul.  You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place.

John 1:16 For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. Amplified

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
