God Hears Every Prayer

Most of you know about the story of our granddaughter Stella. Her travels through the womb and into the NICU and beyond makes for a most amazing story of grace and mercy and healing. The fact that she was born living and breathing at 24 ½ weeks weighing 1 pound, 13 ounces and 12 inches long is amazing enough. But the fact that she is now a bounding 3 year old with her own set of rules for all of us to follow is beyond miraculous.

We have often said that one day Stella would tell us about the angels in her NICU space. We prayed for them and we believed God for them. The Word was that she would live and we held onto that word.

Recently Diona was sent a link to the doctor that cared for Stella. Her jaw dropped as she saw the information he posted and the words he used. Words such as “God is Creator and sovereign”, referring to His name of “El Roi, the God who sees” and much much more.

He even talked of his own opportunity to trust God. “Our vision is more clear through a tear. I get it. Through this trial many trivial concerns have washed away with the tears. I’m starting to see the greater meaning of this…” and  “Join me in begging God for His mercy and intervention” as well as “We credit all of it to God’s mercy, and the power of prayer from so many.”

This morning I got it. It was an aha moment of faith! And God spoke to my heart. We prayed and prayed and prayed for Stella. We asked for ministering angels, prayed for the nurses, asked for the right doctors and all kinds of prayers for her. We now see more clearly the answers to many of our prayers. Not just the result of Stella being a healthy, normal little girl, but God is revealing little things here and there of His answers to our prayers. He sent the right doctor – not just a good, intelligent, educated doctor which is great; but a faith living, committed Christian physician.

Oh beloved, do you get it? Do you see that even in all that you are going through He is with you? Do you know that He answers prayers? I mean ANSWERS. He is not a distant benevolent benefactor. Oh no, He is an Ever Present Help in time of need. He is with you right now. He isn’t on His way, He is here with you. And you can be sure His amazing love and care will be revealed to you more and more.  Even when the answers don’t come in the manner you petitioned, you can know that God hears and reveals His will in amazing ways no matter how things look. Never quit seeking God’s face, never quit counting on Him, never give up or give in.

God loves you and He’s for you. Obviously He has a plan for Stella’s life and He has a plan for you. Give each thing to Him. Pray. Get into His Word.  Believe Him. Walk in His precepts. Trust in His timing. Watch as He reveals Himself more and more and more.  You may not see all the evidence today, but that’s what faith is – the substance of the things you hope for and the evidence of the things you do not see. Live believing and watch as your life shows the Light of His glory and grace.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. NLT

2 Corinthians 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

John 15:16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you. (Amplified)

Psalm 69:13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord. At an acceptable and opportune time, O God, in the multitude of Your mercy and the abundance of Your loving-kindness hear me, and in the truth and faithfulness of Your salvation answer me. (Amplified)

Psalm 16:8 I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.

Psalm 116:2 Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
