Gotta Get Recharged

Having arrived at our weekend destination, we were escorted around by friends to meet folks, see the whole grounds and get our bearings. It was nice seeing other friends as well. It didn’t take long to meet new people and be on a first name basis. Before long we were walking around on our own and our hosts went to do something else for a little while.

Unfortunately for them, they were on the back of the campground when the battery on their golf cart started running down. They sure didn’t want to have to push the cart all the way back to their campsite. She began to pray for God to help them get back to camp before the battery lost its last bit of juice.

God answered her prayers and they had enough battery just to slide back to the spot and sent along some other friends in a cart to escort them in case they needed help. We were sitting at camp when they returned. She had a huge look of relief on her face and she thanked God for His abundant help.

God speaks to my heart. I will be with you wherever you go. But you need to know that all your power comes directly from Me. Whether you are ministering to strangers or ministering to your family or working for your living I AM with you. As you learn to recharge in Me you will find that you can keep going and keep moving. Don’t wait till you are on the back side of life and find that your energy is depleted. Recharge regularly even if you don’t know you need it. Prayer, the Word and My Spirit are your source of strength. Nothing else will do.

Oh beloved. Have you found yourself running on empty? Moving slowly as life has run you down? Wondering where your power went? God will restore you. He will help you. You don’t have to let your battery run down. But even when you do, God will stay with you and He will always help you back to His safety. Don’t hide in the bushes because you are worn out, done in or played out. Talk to the Lord! Tell Him you are low and slow. He will come to your immediate assistance. Unlike people who will say you got in that trouble yourself” He will never bawl you out or put you down. His love comes with Him every single time. What wonderful power in the Blood of Jesus. Plug into the Lord right now and let Him renew your strength, refresh your mind and give you fresh wind of His Spirit.

God loves you and He’s for you. That’s why you can count on Him to be there for you even when you’ve done things wrong or forgotten to stay close to His power. Thank the Lord and learn your lesson and remember to recharge more often. He’s with you and His power is more than enough to get you where you need to be and keep you in His grace all the days of your life.

Deuteronomy 8:1 Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’

Psalm 62:7 On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

Isaiah 40:31 Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
